A Laravel web application that connects blood donors with people in urgent need — built so a search for the right blood group, in the right city, takes seconds instead of a chain of phone calls.
The Blood Donation System (also known as LifeLine Hub) is a full-stack Laravel and MySQL web app built for donors, blood seekers, and emergency requests. Registered users can search for donors by blood group and location, post an emergency request, and manage their donor profile — all behind a proper authentication system.
Emergency blood requests are usually spread across WhatsApp groups and Facebook posts, which makes finding a matching donor fast slow and unreliable. I wanted to build something that puts donor search, requests, and registration in one searchable place — and it was the perfect excuse to go deep on Laravel: proper authentication, relational data between donors and requests, and a admin-friendly structure that could realistically be extended into a real service later.
Emergency requests need to be trustworthy, so keeping sign-up simple for genuine donors while still validating who could post a request was the hardest balance to strike. Once the donor table started growing, search queries filtering by blood group and city slowed down, which pushed me to properly index the MySQL tables instead of relying on Laravel's default query behaviour. Separating "donor" and "general visitor" permissions inside Laravel's auth scaffolding also took more iteration than I first expected.

Anyone can post an urgent blood request that donors and visitors can see and respond to.
Secure login and registration flow built on Laravel's auth scaffolding.
Donors, requests and users are modeled as relational MySQL tables through Eloquent.
A clean, mobile-friendly interface styled with Tailwind CSS.
Routes, migrations, and the full donor-matching logic are on GitHub.
